With over a decade of comprehensive cybersecurity experience, Gustavo’s journey has been one of continuous growth and increasing responsibility. His career began as a consultant, building a foundational expertise in technical security by contributing to penetration testing and assisting in the design, assessment, and implementation of defense-in-depth strategies for clients. 

He then transitioned to a role as an Information Security Officer for a major public institution in Panama, where he took full ownership of security operations for the near real-time transmission of unofficial election results, successfully mitigating all critical vulnerabilities and ensuring no major security incidents or breaches occurred during the national elections of 2019. This was followed by a role as a Senior Analyst in a public USA-based multinational corporation, where he led complex regional security projects from requirements and budgeting to completion and honed his ability to communicate strategic vision to executive leadership.

 Most recently, he has spent the last couple of years applying his expertise as a specialized consultant, protecting critical IT-infrastructure and advising on advanced security solutions.
